Call me heartless as well, but I agree with everything Kracka, Matt D, etc. are saying. It is the guy's own fault that the fire dept. didn't do anything to save his house. Blame is all on him. You can bet his insurance policy requires him to maintain all fees required by zoning to properly protect his property. I'd be surprised if they pay 1 cent.
