Yeah, I guess that was the old one that had all the miles on it. The one he ran an 11.2 on. He made 426 whp on that one if I remember right.
Mods for $1k, you will need a UICP, K&N, boost controller and exhaust. That should net you low 13's on pump gas with a slightly lightened car, throw in some race gas and you should see a high 12. To do it more safely you should have a 2g MAF, injectors and SAFC also. Throw on a DP and some turbo & O2 housing porting and you will be solidly into the 12's on pump, but the clutch will probably be toast from all the extra power, so throw that in there too.
Spend $120 and throw on a boost controller (set at 15 psi), boost guage, and K&N. You will be amazed and the mod'ing madness will begin
