Power Steering Removal

okay...so i got my alternator replaced today cause i couldn't drive my car at night cause of sqeeking...anyways, i was there while the guy fixed it, i saw taht my steering rack was leaking....what are my options? how bad will it get if i dont repair it anytime soon. Thanks
