Would it be worth it to organize something down here?
So I know I had asked this before, but I kind of wanted to take a poll and see for sure who would be willing to show up, should I decide to organize something down here.
Some ideas I have had are anything from a basic night at Q-sharks in Burnsville on Wednesdays (Ladies night ) to a BBQ at one of the parks near my house.
I just don't want to plan anything if people aren't going to want to drive down here.
Please vote and comment.

A pool hall.
I'd be down for something as long as I'm not working.

I might go. For me, its gonna have to be car related. So BBQ at a park, car cruise, car show, racing event, is what I'd be interested in.
later,
Curt

Re: Would it be worth it to organize something down here?
I haven't figured it out. So far not a whole lot of people seem interested, and I'm not planning on trying to get something going if not very many people will come. I do like Chris's idea though. I really would love to plan a cruise starting from one point and going to another that isn't from Eagan to Golden Valley. I think it would be fun to get a whole bunch of us and go on a day long cruise.

I'd be up for doing a cruise. But I can't do another like WEEKLY event like we already do with Applebees. I have too much shit going on.

I got ya. I wasn't thinking weekly at all. I was thinking like once a month or so. Just something fun to do down here since a lot of us southerners are pretty broke and don't like to drive very far.
On another note, I'm really liking this cruise idea. Lets take that and run with it. I would ask that we do as little in-the-city driving as possible. Anyone have ideas of a good run?

Erm, Tauni....don't you think 'broke' and 'cruise' kind of contradict each other? Cruising around is fun, but to get any distance out of it, you'll be wasting a lot of gas. And everyone knows gas = $$$

Re: Would it be worth it to organize something down here?
Yaaaah, but think of how much gas I waste driving to and from Golden Valley every week. I'm pretty sure all those trips add up to about what I'd spend on gas to go on a cruise. So one cruise, and skip bees for awhile...

I suppose it is my choice, so I shouldn't say "waste" but its expensive. Oh well its fun to come out. But you guys should try the south every once and awhile!
