He never said he didn't understand why, I'm sure he just doesn't like people driving his car, and since he can dyno his car without someone driving it, that would be the route he would take.
Anyway, thats how I would feel. I am the same way. If I can fix something myself without having to trust someone else, no matter how competent they might be, unless I can watch it being done, I just am always waiting for something bad to happen.

I understand why they have to drive the cars on the dyno... we are the same way.
If shane wanted to drive his personal car on our dyno, I would let him. Why? Because he owns nearly the same thing I have.

If we are sitting right at the 15 car makr we will probably start this event with the first car on at noon. If we are sitting at the 20 car mark will will probably start this around 11am.

Re: DSMStyle.com SUMMER BASH / DYNO DAY ** GENERAL DISCUSSION **
Definatly no good Brandon
For those who still want to put their car up on the dyno lets do this!!!
Go here: http://dsmstyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11392 follow the directions in the first post to sign up and lets get the 15-20 car mark hit in the next week.
Anyone got people from IA or WI that they want to push and get on the dyno, feel free. I want to get as many of the 20 cars we would like to sign up to be actual DSMs as possible, but also enjoy seeing the 3S and EVO guys up there.

I'll come hang out if I can find the place. But Dynoing my car would be a waste of money and precious time.

Re: DSMStyle.com SUMMER BASH / DYNO DAY ** GENERAL DISCUSSION **
Why not get an idea what kind of shape the car is in and what kind of numbers it can toss down? Either way definatly show up. It's easy to find and I will put a nice map together that shows directions and layout of Rogers and where DB is.
The "Pull Off" is where a team of 2 people try to pull a DSM a set distance with tow straps as fast as they can. We saw 5 teams do this at the LSE event and what started as quick additive to break in the dyno action ended as a very close and fun competition! We award trophies to the winners as well!

I almost wouldn't mind it but I wouldn't want to leak oil all over the dyno. Plus I can see something bad happening if I put it up there. But I will for sure come out. And I don't plan on bringing any guests this time...

Re: DSMStyle.com SUMMER BASH / DYNO DAY ** GENERAL DISCUSSION **
I will for sure show up, it would be fun to meet some local DSMers. We'll see on the dyno, I need a few more speed parts before I decide. That pull off sounds kinda fun, does it matter who my partner is? I am going down to the cities from the 20-23 with my buddy Tyler. We are staying with his brother and basically hanging out for 4 days. I will be driving down in my DSM so I can show it off at this meet and maybe hit up Rock Falls some day down there. Would it be ok for him to be my partner even though he doesnt have a DSM and isnt a part of this site? If thats ok, let me know, I will sign us up!

You're speaking in past tense, the event isn't till July!
Right now start time looks to be abot 11am ~ish. With 20 cars signed up we will probably start it up around 10-10:30 ish.
